Data may differ from nationally reported figures and the Global SDG Indicators Database due to differences in sources and/or reference years. This indicator conveys the share of the population effectively covered by a social protection system, including social protection floors. It also provides the coverage rates of the main functions of social protection: child and maternity benefits, support for persons without a job, persons with severe disabilities, workers in case of work injury, older persons, and poor and vulnerable.
